Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 3, included some of the largest mid-chapter world changes in the game's history, including the new Reality Biome.
My role for the Season was to build out the Reality Biome. I created the terrain textures, art source content for the moss systems, proof of concept vertical slices, collaborated to author and scope systems for growing and painting moss on hundreds of assets, blended and painted terrain across the biome, set dressed, and handled Environment Art tasks for all the POI's contained within it, to varying extents. This biome also features shots of the terrain cliffs in the Chapter 3 Island island in Fortnite, which I was responsible for building, along with Kendall Tucker and Chris Sharp in Chapter 3, Season 1.
The most pronounced changes to the Reality Biome POIs took place in the new overgrown Greasy Grove. I handled all aspects of Environment Art, including modeling, texturing, scoping, technical asks, propping, painting, and creating vignettes.
